Budfinix Cookies Policy (v2026.09.11). Cookies, local storage, and preference choices.

Updated 2026-09-11 · TH

Document version: v2026.09.11
Effective date: 11 September 2026

This Cookies Policy explains how Budfinix uses cookies and similar technologies (local/session storage). It should be read with our Privacy Policy.

1. What we mean by cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We also use browser localStorage and sessionStorage for preferences and short-lived flows. Together we call these “storage technologies”.

2. Categories

CategoryDefaultPurpose
Strictly necessaryAlways onSign-in session (HttpOnly refresh cookie), security, load balancing, core language where required to deliver the Service
PreferencesOff until you allowTheme, optional locale persistence helpers, non-essential UI filters
AnalyticsOff until you allowProduct analytics (none shipped today; will not load without consent)
MarketingOff until you allowMarketing tags/pixels (none shipped today; will not load without consent)

You can change non-necessary categories anytime via Cookie settings in the app footer/banner.

These may be treated as preference storage. Until you accept the Preferences category, we keep preference storage minimal and avoid non-essential writes where practical.

Analytics / marketing

Not currently loaded. If we introduce them later, they will appear here and will require prior consent in the cookie banner.

4. Third parties

Payment checkout may set cookies on Stripe domains when you pay. Those are governed by Stripe’s policies.

We aim to reduce third-party requests on first load (including preferring self-hosted fonts where configured). Browser push, if enabled by you, involves your browser vendor.

5. How to manage choices

  • Use Cookie settings / the cookie banner in Budfinix.
  • Clear cookies and site data in your browser.
  • Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent sign-in.

Withdrawing Preferences/Analytics/Marketing consent does not delete historical server logs already created lawfully, but stops non-necessary client tags going forward.

6. Changes

We may update this Policy when storage technologies change. The document version above is the current version.
